Competitive gaming organization G2 Esports has officially cut ties with its head coach, Luka "Perkz" Perković, following an intense wave of public backlash. The sudden departure comes in the wake of a polarizing statement shared by the prominent League of Legends personality on social media. This development marks a significant shift in the coaching staff for the organization as they navigate the aftermath of the online controversy.

Luka "Perkz" Perković is widely recognized within the competitive gaming community for his long and storied history as a professional League of Legends player before transitioning into a coaching role. His deep association with top-tier esports rosters has historically made him a central figure in the competitive scene. Consequently, any major career moves or public statements involving him naturally attract considerable attention from fans and industry analysts alike.

The controversy stemmed from an extensive 2,676-word publication shared on November 4, 2026, which quickly drew widespread scrutiny. In the post, Perković characterized the lengthy message as his first and final candid statement of the decade, intended to clear the air regarding his personal stances. He stated that he wanted people to understand his true positions so that any criticism directed at him would be based on what he genuinely stands for.

The rapid administrative response from G2 Esports highlights how sensitive organizations are to public relations and community sentiment surrounding their key personnel. As the team moves forward without their former head coach, stakeholders and fans will be watching closely to see how the organization fills the vacant position ahead of upcoming competitive events.
