Chandler Riggs, widely recognized by television audiences for portraying Carl Grimes in AMC's The Walking Dead, has expanded his creative pursuits into the gaming sphere by producing an independent fan film. This newly released short project directly adapts an unforgettable sequence from Capcom's survival horror hit, Resident Evil 7: Biohazard. By tackling a pivotal moment further along in the established timeline of the franchise, Riggs demonstrates his ongoing passion for immersive gaming narratives and horror storytelling.

The timing of this fan production coincides with a massive resurgence of mainstream cinematic interest in the survival horror property, largely driven by director Zach Cregger. Cregger's own feature-length adaptation of Resident Evil debuted in theaters this September to critical acclaim and strong commercial reception, quickly cementing itself as the most lucrative film in the entire franchise history. Building on this momentum, Riggs capitalized on the heightened global excitement surrounding the universe to share his labor of love with the community just a month later.

Beyond simply showcasing his personal tribute to the classic survival horror title, Riggs has publicly shared aspirations for future projects within the franchise. Specifically, the actor noted that he would welcome the opportunity to collaborate with Zach Cregger should another film adaptation or sequel move forward in the Resident Evil universe. While this remains an expression of interest rather than a confirmed casting announcement, it highlights the enthusiasm prominent genre actors hold for the expanding multimedia adaptations of beloved video games.
